It seems that the rich are no longer immune from feeling the crunch of the hard economic times. The “Mo Money Mo Problems” maestro, Diddy, who is not known for being humble about his wealth, has recently published a video blog complaining that he can’t afford to put gas in his personal jet.
Gee, that’s really too bad Diddy. Hopefully things will get better. But remember, dog, can’t nobody hold you down!

I was surfing through Yahoo! Video today, mostly checking out our interesting collection of Olympics videos, when I came across this interesting set of funny Olympic-related cartoons from one of our partners, aniBoom. They remind me of some the humor you might find in Mad Magazine, very slapstick-y and funny in a not-at-all serious kind of way. Check them out, and let us know about your favorite Olympics videos, or even just your favorite cartoons, in the comments.

Unless you’ve been living under a rock the past couple of months, you’ve likely seen some promotion for the Seth Rogan comedy ‘Pineapple Express.’ About a minute into the trailer an infectious beat drops; it’s a Clash sample beefed up with huge drums and a female melodically singing the chorus “I fly like paper, get high like planes etc…” This song, ‘Paper Planes’, that has seemingly blown up overnight, belongs to Sri Lankan songstress M.I.A.
Since becoming the theme song to the film, M.I.A.’s album sales for her second full length album ‘Kala’ have seen a resurgence and ‘Planes’ even made it to the top of the iTunes download charts. The blogs have also taken notice in the original video, sending M.I.A. to the top viral video charts for the month of August. If only Joe Strummer were alive today to witness his music influencing a whole new generation.

It’s like the office has a case of Olympic fever. People are constantly asking about the latest score of a US men’s basketball team game or how many gold medals Michael Phelps currently has around his neck. Personally, I was thinking about how it seems like some countries always tend to do better than others in a particular sport and in the overall medal count.
Fortunately, the video wizards at GOOD Magazine have an answer for us with this video. It’s informative and fun to watch and I hope you enjoy it as much as I did.

Everyone is tuning into the Olympics, but few of you may be following the 2008 Puppy Games. That’s right! Puppies from around the world compete in four sporting events: soccer, gymnastics, swimming, and boxing. Watch Scout, Mickey, and others perform, complete with an opening kitten performance for the athletes.
