Fringe Fridays is about bringing you the strange and extraordinary in online video every week. Sometimes, as the saying goes, truth is stranger than fiction. No one exemplifies this better than Diagonal View. Some of our favorite content lately has come from them.
Yahoo! Video is pleased to announce the launch of our new Comedy Network sponsored by (crispity, crunchity, peanut-buttery) Butterfinger. Now, our best comedy will be in one place, categorized in playlists for your easy viewing pleasure: Pranks, Bloopers, Spoofs, Songs, Sketch, Animation, and more.
And we want to see what you’ve got! Each month we’ll be asking for your best videos in a featured category. In honor of April Fool’s Day, we’re focusing on pranks. If you’ve got a good one, upload it to us through the Butterfinger Comedy Network and we’ll feature it in a special playlist in the Network. Note: Neither Yahoo! Video nor Butterfinger take any responsibility for loss of limb or love resulting from pranks played on friends or family. Please prank responsibly.

Well, that’s what they’re saying over at the Break a Leg blog. Yes, Yahoo! Video Awards nominee Break a Leg, the web’s most (and perhaps only) truly postmodern sitcom announced the imminent retirement of the show:
there will be no conclusion, there will be no ending, there will just be this blog post and an upcoming Mint song thanking you all for voting for us in that Yahoo contest.
You know. The one that we lost…
…to a girl.
They then go on to wish everyone a happy April Fool’s Day. You know, that day where we get people to believe things that aren’t true.
Here’s something that is totally true, however. YVA Winner Brigitte Dale made a special shout-out video to thank all of her fans for their votes.
