I too am having a problem displaying a 16:9 film - it smooches down to 4:3, any solutions or recommendations?

Can you give me specs on what format for final video quality works best for yahoo video? I am also having a problem uploading 16:9 content and it gets converted to 4:3. Thanks for your help.

Hey Kevin,

Can you include a link to the video? I’d like to check out what’s going on with it. There’s no special step, just make sure the video you upload doesn’t include any masking (i.e. letter-box bars).

16:9 is great, but we’ve uploaded a widescreen video twice now… and the transcoding process smooshes it down to 4:3. Help! Is there a special step to ensure 16:9?? Thanks.

Well, Kent, I am happy for my fellow yahooers,you yahooligans, but not for me. after 2 emails, no one could explain “why” my video could not be transcoded. the SYSTEM HAS CHANGED!!! i am on dial up with an old computer and last year’s logitech web cam. Amy suggestions, other than abandon all hope?
