I’m still puzzled as to why “Todd Wilbur” is doing so well ….. he’s obviously “enjoying himself a little much” during the entire video and I’m just not clear on why one would even want to make a Big Mac at home….if you want junk food; buy it at the junk store….. even he wants the rest of the junk at the end of the video…… sheesh; seems like all of the other nominees were more interesting. Phil a very close second - it’s all about his art - that simple. Liked the presentation Joanne, but overall, not enough funny stuff (however, I’m not a Brit so I might be gettin’ it). Sorry, Brigette, but I didn’t get even ONE of the references you made, however, I did appreciate the dry delivery. Kirby: funny yes, but not spicy enough. I promise to check out your other efforts. Perhaps you’re missing an important option concerning Todd Wilbur’s video…he comes up with clones of restaurant and store-brand foods…you don’t have to use them to create junk food! Take the recipe flavors and use them to make your own healthy food taste better. I’ve used his recipes for Taco Bell Taco seasoning and cut the salt dramatically…same for Chicken Fajita seasoning…all the taste, but much better for your family!

O.K. there are video’s here of people that I have never heard of. I watched all the vids, then I checked out other vid’s of the same people. Just to get a sense of what they are like. You can’t always tell just from one video.
If you’re into cooking I guess Todd is good. But the idea of making restaurant food at home does not excite me. It might turn some on but the Big Mac and other videos I saw were like, I don’t know, maybe the term is not all the exciting?
Betty is not bad. If you watch her enough you will come to like her but again not totally overboard exciting. But she can be good.
Brigitte now, hands down she is the most innovative, informative and funny vlogger on the web. I have watched many many of her videos and she just leaves you wanting more.
So sorry all you other fans, but if you aren’t watching Brigitte you are really missing something. The only problem is she is only on once a week now, and she is no longer with TV Squad Daily. You have to catch her on Fridays at You Tube. Hopefully she will find a paying bit sometime soon, so we can have her back on a daily basis.

Good notes by Bud. Things are skewed that Yahoo didn’t pick the best of any of the candidates for the awards posting. That said, if the contest is in terms of who is the best internet personality (not the actual information or subject matter–I couldn’t care less about American Idol), stress personality, Brigitte is the best and she’s been getting better. Everyone involved are probably fine people, but in the long run, Brigitte is the most distinctive, someone who wouldn’t be easily mistaken for a half dozen other people with the possible exception of the Fry Guy… and my Mom used to yell at me for playing with my food as a kid.

This guy works so hard to assist us normal people get the items we crave from the past, especially when companies cut the taste out of their menu’s. I’m a really long time Brigitte Dale fan, and I was very pleased to see how people have responded to her here.
She’s got that middle America charm, but combined with a very sharp wit. She’s gorgeous, but doesn’t rely on that to make interesting videos. There’s a real sincerity that comes through when she talks that’s really rare and special.
Way to go, Brig. You deserve to win this thing.

Mike Cooper: I think “her” supporters should be considered shifty. Being from the Upper Midwest myself, we tend to pull together to help each other out. Besides, it’s cold here, and we may have too much time on our hands. I’m sure most of Nebraska is on the bandwagon, not against anyone, just showing their pride for a “hometown girl”. I was up ’til the wee hours of the morning the other night and noticed “he” was again ahead, then “her” votes started climbing, not really fast but consistantly. I checked a timezone chart, and people in Japan were just getting off work or out of school. I think maybe “she” just has a stronger overseas appeal. After all, the rest of the world doesn’t look at food the same way we do.

Dianne– Under the horizontal row of the video blogs there should be the question, “Who should win for Best Internet Personality?”, underneath which is a vertical listing of the people involved. Click onto the circle to the left of the person you want to vote for, then click onto the grey (or gray, if you insist) box marked VOTE. THat should do it for you. If not, you might have something goofy going on with your computer’s browser or something.
Meanwhile, if it helps people to separate the personality of those they are voting for from what their subject matter is, there’s two ways you can think about it: One, if the six people above are given the same subject to do a video blog about, something none of them are already doing–not food recipes, not entertainment news– which is most likely to produce the best video? (You want to answer Brigitte, you do.) Two, which of the six people above would you most likely want to have a conversation with at an empty picnic table, just hanging out, telling stories? Just conversation, nothin’ wacky. That’s personality. (pssst. It’s Brigitte again. Unless you really wanna talk about food. Which might be your thing, which, okay.) I found out about this contest from Todd Wilbur’s weekly newsletter. I have been a subscriber for over 5 years. I’ll bet he has hundreds of thousands of people on his list. Todd has his fans on his side. The other contestants votes seem to spike at an unreasonable rate. Perhaps some of the other contestants fans have resorted to automated voting? Not too hard to figure out. This contest is unfair at best.

Finally, Yahoo changed the programming of how the voting system works so you now can’t vote again by clearing your temporary files. This will eliminate the hackers using Robot voting software. Funny, Yahoo doesn’t admit to any non democratic voting going on here but they know something was up because they changed the code to track IP instead of cookies.
It’s a shame the results of this contest are so unreal, the programmers must be from Florida.
Todd, we all know you are the real winner. Brigitte should be embarrassed about wining this way.

You are right, Mark: Brigitte has a strong overseas appeal and a big percentage of her votes, probably decisive for her victory, come from outside the US. But you looked at the wrong place on the map: these “wee hours” votes do not come from the Far East, but from here (that is from Europe and the Levant).

I was watching the votes on Saturday and from 11:30 AM to 1:00 PM West Coast time, Brigitte got 8,000 votes and only 2 comments. I watched it go up at 100 to 200 a minute. At that rate Bridgitte would have had to been on a national TV show to get that kind of action.
Monday night, at Midnight she received 1,200 votes in 7 minutes and then they went back to a few every ten minutes.
Todd, your the winner but Brigitte has a younger hacker fan base.

Sounds like we have some whiners here. If you want to cry foul, why don’t you read the all of the comments. There are more people saying goods things about Brigitte than the other nominees. It must have been some hacker that had a crush on Brigitte in high school who wrote a code for an artificial intelligence program to go to this site and leave flattering comments.
